Consumer Prices in Canada 2007: Consumer prices accelerated slightly on average last year in Canada, but the rate of increase was lower than in most industrialized nations. The rate of inflation increased to 2.2% in 2007 as measured by the average annual Consumer Price Index (CPI). This increase was marginally faster than the average of 2.0% a year earlier.
